Kosi R’vayah is …
a bicoastal music project driven by Cantor Tifani Coyot, Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen and composer Gabriel Mann. Their unique collaboration began in 2018 when Rabbi Jaclyn joined the team at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles. Things kicked into high gear when the three of them needed to plan Isaiah's almost-entirely-virtual 2020 High Holy Day services; soon afterward they began working on what would become a brand new Kabbalat Shabbat suite of music. In November 2024 they premiered ten new songs alongside a 40-person multigenerational choir at a festive celebration titled, "From Generation to Innovation: Premiering the Next Generation of Classics." While each of them holds their own distinct vision, background, and areas of expertise, together their unique dynamic fuses tradition with innovation, melody and harmony, soul and song. Kosi R’vayah is Hebrew for “my cup overflows,” a generous reminder of our blessings and how fortunate the three of us feel to collaborate together.
Meet Kosi R’vayah:
Cantor Tifani Coyot
serves Temple Brith Achim in King of Prussia, PA, where she is redefining Jewish spiritual leadership by building an extended spiritual family—a participatory model where ancient wisdom meets modern life. As a community architect, she designs experiences that make ancient traditions feel alive and accessible—from community-wide festivals to Shabbat services weaving pop culture into Torah to prayer music videos featured on Jewish Life Television. Her gift is creating spaces of profound belonging where people feel truly seen, deeply valued, and connected to something infinitely greater than themselves. Cantor Coyot has served on faculty at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles and École Rabbinique de Paris. She held leadership roles with the American Conference of Cantors and Union for Reform Judaism, and served as Artist-in-Residence at La Communauté Juive Libérale in Paris. Deeply engaged in interfaith clergy work, she believes open dialogue across faith traditions is vital in fostering mutual understanding. A fitness enthusiast and certified eating disorder coach, she believes strength—physical, emotional, and spiritual—is a Jewish value.
Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen
serves as Associate Rabbi of Temple Isaiah in West LA. As a musician, artist, and writer, Rabbi Cohen’s rabbinate is eclectic, creative, and unique. She leads rock bands, launches and collaborates on programs grounded in innovation and inclusion (ex: “Beyonceder,” a Beyonce-themed Passover celebration) produces and stars in viral Purim parody videos and cabaret performances, and participates in initiatives that keep synagogue life relevant and meaningful for this generation and those to come. Outside her work with the synagogue she is a regular contributor to the online Jewish parenting hub Kveller. She is a fierce advocate for maternal & mental health and Epilepsy awareness, a certified yoga instructor, and aspiring electric guitar soloist.
Gabriel Mann
is a composer, songwriter, singer, and member of LA-based alternative band The Rescues. Gabriel has made significant strides in every corner of the music industry: equally comfortable in drama and comedy, scoring, songwriting, and production. Mann wrote the iconic theme song and scored ABC's award-winning hit comedy series MODERN FAMILY and produced songs and score for ABC's breakout drama A MILLION LITTLE THINGS. Recent projects include Disney+'s hit series HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE MUSICAL: THE SERIES and seasons four & five of Netflix's EMILY IN PARIS. Over the last decade Gabriel has released several Jewish compositions including a setting of Ahavat Olam composed with his daughter Piper; their version, sung by the Platt Brothers, went viral in 2020. Next up: The Lost Boys on Broadway, a stage adaptation of Joel Schumacher's 1987 cult classic with music by The Rescues.
